BUSHMILLS SWAGGER AT COLLECTABLES HOUSE, LONDON.
Last night had all the sparkle of a 1960s cocktail party — only with better Wi-Fi and fewer cigarette holders.
I had the absolute pleasure of being hosted by Collectables House, Baker Street, London, for a special evening showcasing my latest project, The Cats Kitten Club. The event was expertly curated by Jaimie George of CGC / Stanley Gibbons Baldwins, who somehow managed to mix collectors, cocktails, and comics into one very classy soirée.
Guests with tickets were greeted with drinks (always a strong start) and surrounded by rare collectables that would make even the most seasoned auction-goer swoon. The team went above and beyond with limited-edition goody bags, including signed comics by yours truly and some exclusive treasures donated by the generous folks at the SGB auction house.
Collectors, fans, and curious newcomers had the chance to chat with experts about buying and selling at auction, CGC grading, and the quirks of the collectables industry — all while sipping something truly special.
Don’t ask me why I look like a mafia boss in this picture.
And speaking of sipping... the highlight of the evening had to be the Cats Kitten Club Whisky Sour — a bold new twist on the classic, created by our in-house mixologist using Bushmills Black Bush Whisky. Smooth, sultry, and dangerously moreish — just how we like it.
It was one of those nights where conversation flowed as easily as the cocktails, and you could feel the start of something exciting. The first of many events to come, no doubt — and if they’re all as purr-fectly curated as this one, London’s collectors are in for a treat.
